About the Project

CCK TM participated in the reconstruction of the Australia animal enclosure at Kharkiv Zoo by supplying equipment for the smoke control ventilation system.

Founded in 1895, Kharkiv Zoo is the oldest zoo in Ukraine and one of the country's leading public zoological parks. During the renovation of the animal enclosures, particular attention was given to fire safety, ensuring secure conditions for both animals and staff while complying with modern building safety regulations.


Project Objectives

The project was designed to achieve the following engineering objectives:

  • improve the fire safety of the animal enclosure;
  • prevent the spread of smoke through the ventilation system;
  • ensure reliable operation of the building's engineering systems;
  • comply with modern fire safety standards for public facilities;
  • provide safe conditions for keeping animals.

As part of the project, CCK TM supplied equipment for the smoke control ventilation system.


Equipment

Purpose

KPU-1N

Universal fire dampers designed to automatically isolate ventilation ducts, contain smoke, and prevent the spread of combustion products through the ventilation system.


Project Results

The installed KPU-1N fire dampers ensure reliable operation of the smoke control ventilation system, improve the overall level of fire safety within the enclosure, and comply with modern safety requirements for public facilities accommodating both visitors and animals.
