About the Project
CCK TM supplied ventilation equipment for the Rohatynskyi Residential Complex in Kharkiv. The comfort-class development consists of seven 16-storey buildings and is located near Tsentralnyi Rynok metro station. The complex also features its own above-ground parking facility.
Smoke Protection Project Objectives
For the multi-storey residential complex, one of the key objectives was to ensure the safety of evacuation routes in the event of a fire. The smoke protection system was designed to provide:
- outdoor air supply to stairwells and lift shafts;
- positive pressure in protected areas;
- prevention of smoke entering evacuation routes;
- efficient removal of smoke and hot gases;
- compact equipment placement without unnecessarily occupying technical areas.

The solution was based on the interaction of two key processes — air pressurization and smoke extraction.
The VKOP 0 roof-mounted supply fans deliver outdoor air directly from the roof-level space to stairwells, lift shafts and other areas that need to remain protected from smoke. Positive pressure helps prevent combustion products from entering evacuation routes.
The use of VKOP 0 also simplifies the system design and frees up space on the technical floor. The fan can be installed on a prepared base or directly on the air duct, making it a practical solution for roof installation.
KROV-DU/DUV fans are used to remove smoke and hot gases. Their vertical air discharge provides directed removal of combustion products away from the building. The high casing, protection against atmospheric precipitation and compact support plate are designed for reliable roof-mounted operation.
The KROV-DU/DUV impeller has an efficiency of up to 75%, providing high airflow and significant static pressure while maintaining a low noise level.
Project Results
The CCK TM solution created an integrated smoke protection system in which VKOP 0 provides air pressurization, while KROV-DU/DUV removes smoke and hot gases. This helps protect stairwell and lift areas from smoke infiltration and supports safer evacuation conditions for residents in the event of fire.
