About the Project

CCK TM supplied ventilation equipment for the Meridian Residential Complex in Kharkiv. The economy-class residential complex is located in the Moskovskyi District of the city, at the intersection of Druzhby Narodiv and Hvardiiv-Shyronintsiv streets.

The complex comprises 10 thirteen-storey, 7 sixteen-storey and 4 nineteen-storey buildings. Polyclinics, a kindergarten, a school and supermarkets are located nearby.

Project Objectives

The large residential development, comprising multiple buildings of different heights, required an integrated general ventilation and smoke protection system.

The system was designed to provide controlled air exchange, smoke extraction in the event of fire, air pressurization in protected areas and prevention of uncontrolled airflow between different sections of the ventilation network.

CCK TM Solution

The ventilation and fire protection equipment supplied for the project can be grouped according to its function.

Installed Equipment

Function in the System

UKROS-DU/DUV, OZA-501

Equipment for smoke and hot gas extraction.

VKOP-0

Air pressurization fans for protecting stairwells, lift shafts and other evacuation areas.

KPU-1N, KPD-4, GMK-DU

Fire and smoke dampers for fire compartmentation and limiting smoke propagation.

TUL, KLR

Check valves preventing uncontrolled airflow when fans are switched off.

RLN

Regulation of supply, recirculated and exhaust airflow.

STAM, ventilation louvre grilles

Equipment installation and organization of airflow.

The UKROS-DU/DUV and OZA-501 fans provide smoke and hot gas extraction in the event of fire. VKOP-0 fans supply outdoor air and create positive pressure in protected areas, helping prevent smoke from entering evacuation routes.

The KPU-1N, KPD-4 and GMK-DU fire and smoke dampers provide the required closure of ventilation ducts and help limit the spread of combustion products between rooms and fire compartments.

The TUL and KLR check valves support stable ventilation system operation by automatically closing the airflow section when the fan stops and preventing reverse airflow.

Airflow regulation is provided by RLN dampers, designed for controlling supply, recirculated and exhaust air, as well as for sealing sections of ventilation networks.

The installation solution is complemented by STAM mounting components and ventilation louvre grilles.

Project Results

The CCK TM equipment enabled an integrated general ventilation and smoke protection system for a large residential complex comprising buildings of different heights.

The solution provides controlled air exchange during normal operation, smoke and hot gas extraction in the event of fire, protection of evacuation routes through air pressurization and controlled airflow throughout the extensive ventilation network.
