CCK TM has introduced new ventilation equipment — the KOL-B backdraft damper. It is designed for rectangular air ducts and is used to prevent reverse airflow, outdoor air ingress into the served space, and unwanted air transfer within a ventilation system.
What is the KOL-B backdraft damper used for?
A backdraft damper is an important component of a ventilation system when it is necessary to control the direction of airflow. After a ventilation fan is switched off, air may move in the opposite direction without proper protection, causing unwanted airflow or allowing cold outdoor air to enter the room.
The KOL-B automatically closes the air passage when the fan stops, so no separate control action is required.
How does the KOL-B work?
The damper consists of a rectangular galvanized steel casing with spring-loaded blades.
When the ventilation fan is operating, the airflow opens the damper blades and allows air to pass through. When the fan is switched off, the blades automatically return to their initial position and close the damper section.
This operating principle helps to:
